How Is RDPSoft Software Licensed?
Our software is specially designed for RDS and Citrix environments. It can be installed on Windows Server 2008, Server 2012, and Server 2016, as well as Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 Workstations.
We license based on the number of session host servers that one has, not concurrent users. So, if one has 1 session host server, only one license is required. If one has 2, 2 server licenses are required, etc.
What is a Workstation License and Do I Need One?
Workstation licenses are only required if one wants to additionally monitor Virtual Desktop (e.g. RDVH/Citrix XenDesktop) or Remote Desktop sessions that connect into Windows workstation operating systems (e.g. Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10).
