Issue: Some online transactional mail servers (e.g. Office365, Sendgrid, etc) used by companies for SMTP relay now require TLS 1.2 security for secure communications. Depending on the mail server configuration, earlier versions of the Remote Desktop Commander Suite may have issues relaying scheduled reports to recipients. This may manifest as an inability to connect to the mail server when using the “Send Test” button in the Reporting tab of the Remote Desktop Commander Configuration Tool, or mail relay warning messages being generated in the Application Event Log by the Remote Desktop Reporter Service after scheduled reports are built.

Resolution: Please request an upgrade to Version 6.5.5 or later of the Remote Desktop Commander Suite, which has broader compatibility with TLS 1.2 compliant mail servers.
