Can I Manage Terminal Servers Across A Firewall?
Can I manage terminal servers across a firewall? Are there any special TCP/UDP ports that need to be opened on firewalls for communication to occur?
Our software needs access via lots of ports to do its job (namely dynamic RPC, authentication ports like Kerberos, and WMI). Therefore, what you’ll need to do is place it on one of the servers in your RDS farm (session host, connection broker, or other server inside that firewalled domain). Then, use RDS to access it and/or publish it as a RemoteApp.
